Open-air Art Walk on Sunday, June 2, 2019

Mountain Lakes,New Jersey (PR MediaRelease) May 8, 2019

Art at the Esplanade, Mountain Lakes’ second annual juried arts and crafts show, will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 11 am to 5 pm at 11 Elm Road in Mountain Lakes. Visitors can stroll through the tree-lined heart of the borough, where more than 60 emerging and established artists will feature original paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture and more.  All art is available for sale.

Founders Amy Thompson-Hill and Julie Naegelen, both artists and residents of Mountain Lakes, believe that the borough, long known for its natural beauty and distinctive architecture, is the perfect locale for the open-air art show. “Last summer’s inaugural event was a great success” says Ms. Thompson-Hill, “and we believe the show joins the spirit of our community with its love of the arts.”

Art at the Esplanade will also feature children’s art activities coordinated by the Mountain Lakes Library.  Visitors will have the chance to sample signature ice cream treats from Scoop House of Boonton and tasty crepes from Enjoy Creperie of Hackettstown.  And once again, musicians from Bach to Rock in Denville will fill the air with music.

The event has attracted the generous sponsorship of the Roberts Fund of the Mountain Lakes Library, whose goal is to encourage a culture of art appreciation throughout the community.
