Forget pizza. A St. Louis favorite is coming to you – literally. They deliver!
In July of 2019, a calzone and salad shop will be opening its first of five locations in the Indianapolis area. Sauce on the Side, a St. Louis based restaurant chain, has been serving communities for over six years. Indy area investors, Michael Hammond and Kels Watson, are excited to begin their journey and serve Indianapolis the freshest of calzones and salads known to the Midwest.

The first location will be opening in the suburb Carmel, just 14 miles North of Mile Square in Downtown Indianapolis. The Carmel location will reside in the lot of Meijer grocery store, just off of North Meridian Street. Hammond and Kels are on schedule to open the doors the first week of July. More locations will follow in the next two years with Downtown Indianapolis being the second to fill in the bottom of a new Hyatt complex. Construction is expected to finish in the fall of 2019 – across from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Sauce on the Side first opened in 2012 in Downtown, St. Louis. Founders Ryan Mangialardo, Brendon Maciariello, and Dan Porzel collaborated to fulfill a goal – feed the community.
