Competency-based university marks milestone with 5,000-plus graduates and nearly 8,000 enrolled statewide; set to announce results from statewide higher education poll
As WGU Texas celebrates its fifth anniversary, the nonprofit, competency-based online university geared toward working adults, will mark a major milestone during its upcoming statewide commencement ceremony Saturday, September 17th. (See details below.)
In addition to celebrating 5,000 Texas graduate to date, WGU Texas will also release a second statewide poll on the state higher education in Texas on Tuesday September 27, 2015*. See last years’ poll results here.
The 2016 WGU Texas Commencement will feature a keynote address by Manny Flores, CEO and Managing Partner of LatinWorks, as well as four graduate speakers representing each of the four areas of study; IT, business, teaching and healthcare and showcasing the diversity and personal stories of achievement of the WGU Texas Class of 2016.
